Job Overview:

Eden is an anti-human trafficking non-profit organization that is financially sustained by a jewelry social enterprise and regular financial donor partnerships. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to be a part of the Hong Kong Team raising funds and awareness to support the fight against human trafficking, predominantly in Myanmar. The Hong Kong office is a small entrepreneurial work environment that requires passionate, reliable, proactive and altruistic employees. We strive to also give back to the Hong Kong red-light communities and connect with the many other prominent organizations working with vulnerable people in the City. 


The Finance and Administrative Coordinator will be tasked with maintaining all of Eden Hong Kong's finances and administrative tasks while also seeking innovative fundraising opportunities and sustaining loyal relationships with donors.  



Primary Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Office Accounting and Finances:
    • Maintain a healthy and well-organized business model
    • Balancing daily cash flow; budgeting of cost and income
    • Manage inter-site funds transfers and maintain accurate records 
    • Prepare a Monthly Finance Overview; maintain transparent reporting to Office Manager, General Manager, and Global Eden CEO
    • Annually prepare for full-set of accounting and liaise with a third-party auditor to review overall financial performance
    • Process donation receipts, implementing and maintaining partner/donor database
    • Provide secretarial support to ensure compliance with relevant government regulations and legal requirements
  • Office Administration:
    • Provide Human Resources services; onboarding and offboarding, MPF, taxation, medical insurance, and employee benefits
    • Ensuring the efficient, day-to-day running of Eden Hong Kong in regard to all administrative tasks complimenting the Sales and Marketing Role.
    • Involved in the day to day operations regarding jewelry stock coordination, purchase orders, distribution and reporting, website maintenance, social media administration, & customer relationship management
    • Assist with donor communications, & event administration.

Secondary Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Fundraising and Donor Relations:
    • Establish innovative methods to meet the annual budget 
    • Proactively find and develop new sources of donations from government, church, corporate, or individual donors
    • Maintain and deepen donor relations via email, regular coffee, mingle, including keeping consistent communications with current donors
    • Instigate a team to host one or two annual fundraising events per year; raising awareness about this social issue and inviting donorship
    • Organize and engage a group of volunteers for awareness and fundraising events as needed


Important Skills and Requirements:

  • Invokes a passion for serving God and His kingdom and has the willingness to work in accordance with Eden’s mission and Christian values
  • Takes initiative and is flexible with changes in a small social enterprise environment
  • Sensitive to nondisclosure of the private company and personal information
  • 2-3 years of accounting, administrative &/or HR experience
  • Good mathematical, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of or willingness to learn about banking rules and policies related to international banking transactions
  • Skilled in persuasive communication
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; Word and Excel
  • Willing to work with people from different national backgrounds
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese (including Putonghua).
